Rhode Island police have arrested seven more men as it continues its ongoing undercover sting operation "Operation Backpage."

Mayor Jorge Elorza and public safety officials announced Wednesday that the sting operation has led to the arrest of 42 people since March.

Providence narcotics detectives placed ads on Backpage.com posing as women willing to trade sex for money. On Sept. 25, seven men between 24 and 50 years old solicited the women for sex. They arranged to meet at a hotel, where they were arrested and charged with procurement of sexual conduct for a fee.

Elorza said in the release, "if you use Backpage.com to solicit sex in Providence, you had better watch your back."

All seven men are set to be arraigned on Oct. 13 in Providence District Court.
