A 70-year-old Rhode Island man convicted of molesting a young girl has been sentenced to life in prison.
Attorney General Peter Kilmartin's office announced Thursday that James Tebow will serve life plus 20 years. He was convicted in Providence in March of one count of first-degree child molestation and three counts of second-degree child molestation.
The Providence Journal reports that prosecutors say the Pascoag man molested the girl, who he knew, on multiple occasions in 2011 and 2012.
The abuse was reported to a school counselor who notified the Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth and Families and Burrillville police.
