A 9-year-old boy was hit by a car while he was riding a scooter Sunday afternoon on Cape Cod.
Police in Sandwich, Massachusetts, confirm he was hit by the vehicle in the area of Old Fields Road around 1:30 p.m.
The child was transported to Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island.
His condition was not immediately known.
Police did not provide any information about the driver who struck the child.
