State fire officials say an elderly man has died following a house fire in Charlton.
Jim DeSimone of the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services said the fire happened at a house early Wednesday afternoon.
The victim's son is identifying him as 91-year-old Armand St. Laurent.
DeSimone said the district attorney's office is involved in the investigation.
State and local officials are also trying to determine the origin and cause of the fire at the house, which is located off Route 169.
