The New Hampshire AG’s office says that a man in Nashua, New Hampshire, fatally stabbed his girlfriend and shot himself in a standoff with police over the weekend.

The AG’s office says that Meg Haley, 55, was fatally stabbed by long-time boyfriend, Allen Rediker, 58, following a dispute.

Investigation shows that it appears that the two were out socializing and drinking with friends on Nov. 29 around 10 p.m. The two left their friends to walk home. An argument ensued and Rediker pulled out a knife, stabbing Halley to death on the Baldwin Street Bridge.

Rediker walked to his home and armed himself with a handgun before engaging in a standoff with police. He took his own life during the standoff.
