Police in Rehoboth, Massachusetts, say a man under the influence crashed his vehicle into a utility pole Wednesday.
Officers responded to the area of 299 Providence St.
The driver, Timothy Beel, 23, of Pleasant Hill, California, sustained minor injuries in the crash.
He was taken into custody and was taken to Sturdy Hospital.
He was later booked and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle under the Influence of Alcohol, Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Marked Lanes Violation, and Wanton Destruction of Property.
Police say the crash caused significant damage to the pole and caused power outages.
