Nearly a month after the death of former Boston Mayor Tom Menino, his wife, Angela, wrote a thank you letter to address the support her family received.
The letter was published in the Boston Globe. The statement read in part:
"I wanted to take a moment and thank everyone for their very generous outpouring of support for my family and me. We always knew Tommy was a special person and did a lot to make people's lives better, but I was overwhelmed at the tremendous showing of love for him during his final days, during the days of his services especially, and in the days since then."
Angela Menino also expressed her gratitude to the people who stood in the rain and snow to say their final goodbyes to her husband.
