Armed Man Robs Arlington Bank: Police

Police say the suspect showed a knife and demanded money from the teller before fleeing the Winchester Savings Bank

Police are searching for a man they say was involved in an armed bank robbery Wednesday morning in Arlington, Massachusetts.

Officers responded to the Winchester Savings Bank on Medford Street at 10:20 a.m. for a report of a robbery that had just taken place.

When they arrived, police said they learned that a man had entered the bank, showed a knife and demanded money from a teller. The man then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect, who was captured on surveillance, is described as a man in his 20s, 5' 10" tall with an average build. He was wearing blue jeans, a black jacket, and a Red Sox hat at the time of the incident.
