Arredondo Family Foundation Opens New Dorchester, Massachusetts Office

The Arredondo Foundation was started to help military families touched by suicide

It's the start of another chapter in the life of Boston Marathon bombing hero, Carlos Arredondo.

On Tuesday, he and his wife Melida opened the new Dorchester, Massachusetts office of the Arredondo Family Foundation at Work Inc., an organization dedicated to helping people with disabilities.

The Arredondo Foundation was started to help military families touched by suicide.

THE family lost their son Alex in the Iraq war in 2004. Seven years later their other son Brian took his own life because of the loss of his brother.

The Arredondo's had very little help dealing with the situation so they started the foundation to make sure other families wouldn't have to go through the same struggles.

The Arredondo Family Foundation is now two years old and by moving to a new location, they are hoping to be able to better serve families in need.
