An arrest has been made after a pedestrian was struck in a hit-and-run in Brockton, Massachusetts

An arrest has been made after a pedestrian was struck in a hit-and-run in Brockton, Massachusetts, Wednesday evening, State Police confirm.

Kathleen Casey, 53, of Brockton, is expected in Brockton District Court Thursday.

Authorities responded to the scene in the area of 789 East Ashland St. for a report that a pedestrian was hit and that the involved vehicle fled the scene.

The victim was rushed to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Their current condition is unknown.

Police were given a description and registration number of the vehicle, which was later found, and Casey was arrested.

She faces charges of operating under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

The incident remains under investigation.
