2 Arrests Made in Woman's Murder at Hotel

A woman was found dead inside the Extended Stay America hotel around 12:20 a.m. Thursday

Two men face murder and other charges in the fatal shooting of a New York woman at a Massachusetts hotel.

Police found the victim, 34-year-old Sanisha Johnson, of the Bronx, in a first-floor room early Thursday morning at the Extended Stay America Hotel. Investigators said guests reported hearing a woman scream and a gunshot.

Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Burlington Police Chief Michael Kent announced the arrests on Monday.

Twenty-four-year-old Epshod Jeune, of Burlington, and 21-year-old Derrell Fisher, of Boston, face arraignment in Woburn District Court Monday on charges of murder, attempted armed robbery and unlawful possession of a firearm.

The men are also accused of attacking a woman at a Red Roof Inn in Woburn shortly before the killing in Burlington.

It wasn't immediately known if the defendants had retained attorneys.

Middlesex Assistant District Attorney Adrienne Lynch said in court Monday that the two men were engaged in a "joint venture to rob escorts at gunpoint."

Both men pleaded not guilty and were ordered held without bail. They will appear in court again on Aug. 4.
