Arrest Made in New Hampshire Triple Stabbing Near Plymouth State University

Rhode Island man is facing several charges

A Rhode Island man is facing several charges in connection with a Sunday morning triple stabbing near Plymouth State University in Plymouth, New Hampshire.

Police said the three students were stabbed on Winter Street at 4:05 a.m. at an off-campus housing complex.

The men were taken to an area hospital where two were treated and released. The third victim remains in stable condition.

Later in the day, police took Terrence Simmons Jr., 19, of Newport, Rhode Island, into custody.

Authorities said when Simmons was arrested, he was found in possession of various illegal drugs.

Simmons is being charged with three counts of second degree assault, three counts of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, and two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance. Simmons refused bail and is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Plymouth.
