Police Arrest SUV Owner in Reckless Driving Case

Wayne King of Waldoboro, Maine, was found hiding in a storage area.

Maine State Police have arrested a man accused ofbeing involved in a reckless driving incident Tuesday morning in Durham, Maine.

Wayne King's purple 1999 Chevy Tracker failed to stop for a trooper and nearly struck two flaggers at a construction site on Route 136.

The tracker was seen speeding into Pownal. It was the seen again in Durham a short time later.

King, 35, of Waldoboro, was found hiding in the storage area of a Lewiston apartment. His arrest warrants are for not paying fines and for a probation violation. King's driver's license has also been suspended and has been a number of time before.

Police previously sought Edwin Duquette. However, they determined Durquette was not involved in the chase as he sold the SUV weeks prior and Wayne kept the license plates.
