Auburn ‘Clown' Arrested for Stalking School Bus

Auburn police identified him as a parent of one of the students on the bus

An Auburn man was arrested on charges of Disorderly Conduct and Disturbing Peace for following a school bus and students wearing a clown mask.

The man followed several middle school students from their buses and bus stops two days ago. This caused a lot of fear to the children. Some even hid under a backyard deck to avoid the man with the mask.

The APD identified him as a parent of one of the students on the bus.

The police will not identify the man while charges are being processed. The charges will be sought in Worcester District Court.

Boston Public Schools in a press release Thursday evening advised parents to warn children against sharing information about their schools over social media. Students are also advised against wearing or possessing clown or clown-type masks at school.

If students are subject to threatening messages, parents are advised to report the activity to the Boston Police and the school.
