Authorities in New Hampshire are investigating after a propane tank in a box was left in a Wal-Mart parking lot.
Hudson police say officers responded to the Wal-Mart on Lowell Road around 3:45 p.m. Saturday for a report of a suspicious package.
When they arrived, they found a brown box sealed with packing tape inside of a shopping cart near the store's main entrance.
The parking lot was closed as Nashua police's bomb squad team was summonsed; meanwhile, Wal-Mart employees directed shoppers to a side exit of the store.
When the bomb squad arrived, an explosive ordinance technician determined the box had a propane tank inside; however, the box didn't contain any other material, and it was determined it wasn't hazardous.
Hudson police removed the box from the scene, and an investigation is ongoing.
The Wal-Mart's parking lot was reopened just before 6 p.m.
