Police in Burlington, Vermont, are awaiting autopsy results on an infant who was found unresponsive in the city 10 days ago and now has died.
Police say Saunder Gilruth died after life support was withdrawn at the Fletcher Allen Health Care hospital at just 4 weeks old.
The case is being handled by the Chittenden Unit for Special Investigations, which investigates cases of child abuse.
Authorities say no further information will be released until the office of the chief state medical examiner completes the autopsy.
