Authorities Make 123rd Meth-Related Arrest in Maine This Year

Three people are facing drug charges after Maine DEA agents allegedly found a meth lab inside a Sherman mobile home, in what authorities say is the 123rd meth-related arrest this year - more than double the amount of arrests in 2015.

Fifty-year-old Gloria Cahill, 29-year-old Eliza Berberian and 31-year-old Shawn Michaud, all of Sherman, were charged with operating a meth lab after their arrests on Tuesday.

Police say the arrests at the Silver Ridge Road home were part of an ongoing investigation into meth manufacturing in Maine.

Maine DEA agents add that there were 56 total meth-related arrests last year in the state.

It's unclear whether Cahill, Berberian and Michaud have lawyers.

Maine DEA was assisted by the Aroostock County Task Force and US Border Patrol Agents in their search of the mobile home, and by Maine's Department of Environmental Protection and the Sherman Fire Department with clean up.
