Despite Suspicions, Autopsy Shows Hartford, Vermont, Man Died of Natural Causes

Preliminary autopsy results have revealed that the investigated death of a Hartford, Vermont, man was natural.

An investigation was initiated Monday for the death of Thomas Casey, 55, but today the Office of the Medical Examiner indicates that a heart attack is the cause.

The autopsy did not reveal any trauma. This means that an alleged altercation between Casey and suspect William Roberts likely did not have anything to do with the death.

The investigation at the scene has been completed, but the autopsy results are preliminary.

Investigators are still waiting for the final results before they close the case.
