Babysitter Charged With Abuse Facing More Charges

An affidavit does not detail the abuse, but information is expected Tuesday at a hearing in Danbury Superior Court

A Connecticut nanny who has pleaded not guilty to accusations she beat and burned a 3-year-old girl on a stove faces 15 more charges related to abuse allegations.

New felony charges alleging risk of injury to a minor have been filed against Lidia Quilligana after police reviewed more video from a hidden "nanny cam."

Quilligana has pleaded not guilty. Her lawyer, Jennifer Tunnard, would not comment Monday morning.

She previously was charged with first-degree assault, risk of injury to a child and third-degree criminal mischief.

The News-Times reports
that court records say the DVR system used to store videos shows more abuse against the girl and her siblings, 1-year-old twins in March.

An affidavit does not detail the abuse, but information is expected Tuesday at a hearing in Danbury Superior Court.
