State police are searching for a man who attempted to rob a bank in Southbury Sunday afternoon.
According to state police, the man entered the Stop & Shop at 100 Main St. in Southbury around 12:15 p.m.
The suspect entered the People's Bank located inside the store, implied that he had a weapon and demanded money from the bank teller.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5'5"-5'8" tall wearing a read sweatshirt with a grey and white checkered shirt, a white baseball hat and light colored pants.
The suspect was unshaven and had light brown hair.
