If one of your favorite times of the year is Halloween, then you're in the right part of the country!

A new analysis by WalletHub finds Boston is the third best city in the nation to celebrate the spooky holiday in 2019.

In order to come up with the ranking, WalletHub compared the 100 largest U.S. cities based on 21 key metrics that comprised three individual ranks: trick-or-treat friendliness, Halloween fun and Halloween weather.

The study put Boston at No. 12 in "trick-or-treater friendliness," No. 35 for "Halloween fun" and No. 4 on "Halloween weather." That added up to a score that just beat out San Diego, Las Vegas and Chicago.

New York was the top best place to go for Halloween while Los Angeles was number two, according to WalletHub.

Wallethub's key metrics include costume stores per capita, average price per Halloween party ticket and share of potential trick-or-treat stops.
