Massachusetts State Police are investigating after they say a body was discovered Saturday morning in the Merrimack River in Amesbury.
Police were called to an area off Pleasant Valley Road where the body was found in the water.
They have not identified the body but the Essex County District Attorney has concluded it was a suicide.
