Boston Bar Burglary, Vandalism Caught on Camera

Management at one of Boston's oldest and most famous bars say two men who apparently hid in the bathroom at closing time trashed the establishment and stole up to $10,000 worth of booze.

Managers at the Red Hat say the men emerged from the bathroom after everyone left Sunday morning and went to work, opening up beer taps, flooding the floor, smashing liquor bottles and using the soda guns to spray the walls.

Assistant manager Larissa Audette says they even had the audacity to sit down for a drink.

They left with a box full of liquor bottles.

Their rampage was caught on surveillance video and managers are asking anyone who recognizes the men to contact police.

The Red Hat in Scollay Square has been around for more than a century.
