Greater Boston Area Mosque Receives One of Many Hate-Filled Letters Sent Around Country

Malik Khan, president of the Islamic Center of Boston, Wayland, said he received the threatening letter Thursday afternoon

A mosque in Wayland, Massachusetts received a hate-filled letter that calls Muslims “vile and filthy people.”

Malik Khan, president of the Islamic Center of Boston, Wayland, said he received the threatening letter Thursday afternoon.

The letter praises President-Elect Donald Trump’s victory and says he will "do to you Muslims what Hitler did to the Jews."

Copies of the letter have been sent to mosques across the country, including a Rhode Island mosque earlier this week.

The letter is postmarked in California, but has a local Boston return address. They are all signed by "Americans for a Better Way."

Khan said he is contacting the Wayland Police Department and the Office of the Attorney General of Massachusetts about the letter.
