One of the Boston Police officers wounded in a shooting last week in East Boston is out of the hospital.

The department confirms Richard Cintolo is home after being discharged from Massachusetts General Hospital.

Cintolo and fellow officer Matt Morris were shot last Wednesday after responding to an apartment in East Boston. The suspected gunman, Kirk Figueroa, was killed in the incident.

"So happy to see Richie sent home," Boston Police Commissioner William Evans said, according to a tweet from the department. "Matt's getting better. Thanks again to everybody for all the support & prayers."
