An NFL investigation has found that New England Patriots employees likely deflated footballs and that quarterback Tom Brady was "at least generally aware" of the rules violations. The 243-page report released Wednesday, May 6, 2015, said league investigators found no evidence that coach Bill Belichick and team management knew of the practice. (AP Photo/Charles Krupa, Pool)

Could the ruling on Tom Brady's suspension appeal be known before next weekend?

A source told Mike Florio of NBC's Pro Football Talk that Brady's camp expects the decision to come down this week.

Brady was hit with a four-game suspension to kick off the 2015 season for deflating footballs in the AFC Championship Game. He has appealed that penalty.

If NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell decides that Brady will remain suspended, the NFL Players Association says it will fight the decision in federal court.
