Brookline, Mass. Ex-Firefighter Charged in OUI Hit-and-Run Due in Court

A former Brookline, Massachusetts, firefighter accused of driving drunk and leaving the scene of two crashes in Newton last month is due in court.

Jeremy Joseph has been arraigned for OUI, leaving the scene of a crash causing injury, negligent operation and a marked lanes violation.

Newton Fire had to extricate the victim from his vehicle in the Lagrange Street crash.

Joseph was also hurt in the crash, being taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Another Brookline firefighter, Joseph Ward, is accused of beating a man who took too long to order food from a popular taqueria.

According to a statement from the Brookline Board of Selectmen, they voted to fire both men.
