Massachusetts State police say one person is dead after an early morning crash on Route 128 south in Woburn.
Police say just after 5 a.m. Monday a vehicle veered off the road and struck a construction vehicle parked off the highway at the exit ramp to Route 38.
The driver of the car, identified only as a 37-year-old Lowell woman pending notification of family, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was the only person in the vehicle.
The ramp was closed temporarily and drivers experienced delays. All lanes were reopened by 8:30 a.m.
The crash remains under investigation.
