A firefighter and two others were taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries after a car plowed into a fire truck at the scene of an accident in Massachusetts, authorities said.
Hanover Fire says Engine 7 was on its way to an accident on Route 3 southbound when it came across another accident around 10:24 a.m. Friday.
Engine 7 pulled over to help when another car lost control and struck the back of the fire truck, according to fire officials.
Hanover Fire says its recent delivery of the National Traffic Incident Management Responder Safety Program "helped prevent more serious injuries from occurring."
