Police and fire crews had to be called in after a hole a man was digging on a beach in Martha’s Vineyard caved in and buried him.
The incident happened Thursday at Norton Point Beach. The man had dug a hole that was six-to-eight feet deep before it caved in on him.
The man's friends were able to clear out enough sand so he could breathe and then used shovels and a backhoe to dig him out.
