Ceiling Collapses at Hotel Vermont

Five people were hurt in the Burlington incident

The ceiling in the lobby of Hotel Vermont collapsed Thursday, hurting five people.

Four of the injured were transported to the hospital with mostly minor injuries, according to WPTZ.

The portion that collapsed was a fake suspended ceiling.

Guests evacuated the Burlington hotel, but were allowed back in after 30 minutes.

Structural engineers will be brought in to examine the ceiling and others like it in the hotel, according to WPTZ.
