Charges Filed Against Woman in Abandoned Dog Case

Charges have been filed in Maine against a woman accused of abandoning a dog, who was later found dead. 

According to The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society, the woman dropped the dog off in front of the Lewiston shelter right before closing, reports necn affiliate WCSH

The dog was loose and ran around for three days before shelter employees eventually found the dog's body. 

The Androscoggin District Attorney has filed a complaint against Sarah Vye, charging her with a misdemeanor.
