Fox That Attacked 2 People in Chelmsford Will Be Tested for Rabies

A fox that allegedly attacked two people in Chelmsford, Massachusetts on Tuesday will be tested for rabies.

Police said officers first responded to a doctor's office on Meeting House Road at about 10 a.m. for a report that a nurse from the office had been attacked outside.

Officers were unable to locate the fox at that time.

At about 4 p.m., police responded to an area of Crosby Lane where a delivery person had been attacked.

When officers arrived, they spotted the fox and determined that the animal posed a threat.

Police said an officer then shot and killed the fox.

The animal has been taken to a state lab to be tested for rabies.

The two victims who were attacked are being treated and said to be doing OK.
