    A 7 year-old girl was struck by a Kia Soul car at 84 Quincy Street in Brockton at 8:30 pm on Saturday, July 9, 2017. She was transported to Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital and was alert and conscious with non-life threatening injuries. There were no criminal charges to the driver of the vehicle. Eyewitness reports the girl darted into the street. She was struck by the front of the vehicle and thrown into the air for about 20 feet.     Police confirm that a child was struck by a car in Brockton, Massachusetts on Saturday night.

    The accident, which occurred on Quincy Street, happened around 9:50 p.m. The young girl was crossing the road by herself when she was hit by a car.

    The child was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in a private ambulance.

    She is reported to have suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Police will not be ticketing the driver.
