Both sides in the so-called Snapchat rape trial have rested their cases, the Essex District Attorney's Office confirms.

The alleged female victim, who is not being named by necn, testified Thursday in a Salem court.

Rashad Deihim, 21, and Kailyn Bonia, 20, both of Saugus, are accused of raping the female victim in September 2014 in Saugus.

The sides are expected to deliver their closing statements Monday.
