Coast Guard Rescues Man From Fishing Vessel

The Coast Guard rescued a man from a fishing vessel off the coast of Chatham, Massachusetts, early Sunday morning.

Around 1:40 a.m., the Coast Guard Sector Southeastern New England command center received a report from the captain of a fishing vessel about 50 miles off the coast of Chatham. He said that a crew member was experiencing respiratory problems.

A helicopter was able to rescue the man around 2:30 a.m. He was flown to Barnstable Municipal Airport where he was transferred to medical personnel.

The man was in stable condition at the time of the transfer.
