Connecticut Hiker on Mount Washington Rescued by Companions

New Hampshire wildlife officials say a woman hiking with four others on Mount Washington lost consciousness before her companions decided to haul her down the trail in a sleeping bag to get medical attention.

Officials say the group hiked to Lake in the Clouds on Saturday and was coming down when 28-year-old Monoswita Saha of Trumbull, Connecticut, lost consciousness. They called 911, and though she regained consciousness, she wasn't alert.

Her companions put her in a sleeping bag, tied the bag with ropes and dragged her down the trail. They met rescuers who helped carry her the rest of the way. Officials say she was taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
