Cops: Man Who Crashed Motorcycle Suspected of DUI

State police say they may charge a northwestern Vermont man after he crashed his motorcycle on Interstate 89.

The Burlington Free Press reports police say the 28-year-old South Burlington man may have been impaired when he crashed late Sunday afternoon. Authorities say he was found in the median with his 2009 Yamaha motorcycle after losing control of the vehicle.

Police say he was taken to the University of Vermont Medical Center with unspecified injuries. He met with police at the hospital, who noted he appeared impaired. A breath sample was taken and the man was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

The man agreed to provide a blood sample and could face criminal charges based on the results of the test and investigation.
