Cops: Officer Hit, Pinned by Fleeing Suspect

The officer was pinned between Bethany Dunne's vehicle and the cruiser.

A Bourne, Massachusetts, police officer was not seriously injured when she was hit and pinned by a vehicle a suspect was attempting to flee in Tuesday night, according to police.

Police say the officer noticed 31-year-old Bethany Dunne, who was wanted on warrants for larceny and assault and battery, parked at a gas station. The vehicle had previously been reported as stolen.

When the officer approached Dunne and told her she was under arrest police say Dunne placed her car in reverse and stepped on the gas.

The officer was pinned between Dunne's vehicle and the cruiser.

She was eventually able to free herself and remove Dunne from the moving vehicle, taking Dunne into custody.

Dunne will be arraigned Wednesday.
