Cops: Woman Stole Caviar, Seafood from Whole Foods

Lavina Qualls is facing shoplifting and other charges

Police say a Rhode Island woman stole more than $400 worth of food and clothes from a Whole Foods store.

Lavina Qualls, 31, is charged with shoplifting, simple assault and resisting arrest, according to Providence Police.

An officer assigned to a police detail at the East Side store found lobster salad, caviar sturgeon, shrimp and other seafood in her purse Saturday night. She also allegedly had nine pieces of clothing.

Qualls allegedly pushed an officer after she was stopped and attempted to leave the store.

It wasn't immediately clear if Qualls has an attorney. She is due in court Nov. 23.
