A corrections officer in Boston has been held on $20,000 bail following his arrest on charges he had sexual contact with an inmate.
Marlon Juba, 29, a corrections officer at the South Bay House of Corrections, appeared Thursday morning in South Boston Municipal Court.
He was arrested overnight by Boston Police.
Prosecutors say they have video of the Juba entering the cell of a female inmate in May.
His attorney denied all the allegations and suggested that the inmate making the allegations of sexual misconduct is doing so out of retribution.
Juba has been suspended from his position.
Along with the sexual contact charges, authorities are looking at whether the defendant brought drugs, food and a cellphone into the facility.
He is due back in court next month.
