One person was killed early Saturday morning in a fiery crash involving a tractor-trailer truck on Interstate 95 in Mansfield, Massachusetts.
State Police said the crash happened about 5:25 a.m., near exit 5.
When troopers arrived, a Ford F250 pickup had struck the rear of a Kenworth tractor-trailer which was disabled in the breakdown lane with a flat tire.
Police said when the pickup truck crashed, it immediately caught fire.
The driver, who has not been identified, was killed at the scene.
The driver of the tractor-trailer, a 56-year-old man from Providence, Rhode Island, suffered minor injuries but refused treatment.
A preliminary investigation showed that the pickup truck driver was traveling at a high rate of speed in the breakdown lane prior to the crash.
