A car accident in Millis, Massachusetts on Sunday afternoon involved a Millis Police cruiser, according to local authorities.
The crash, which occurred in the area of 240 Main Street, apparently resulted in the cruiser - which was marked - landing on its side.
Police said a MedFlight was ordered, but later cancelled.
Instead, one Millis Police officer and one person from the affected vehicle were transported by ambulance for immediate medical attention.
The officer suffered from major injuries to his left arm, and the other man died of his injuries at Norwood Hospital.
The identities of the two victims have not been released.
The massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis Unit is currently investigating the accident.
