Crews Battle 3-Alarm Fire in Lynn, Mass.

Lynn Fire requested Red Cross to help people during blaze at 7 Collins Street

Crews battled a three-alarm fire in Lynn, Massachusetts, Saturday afternoon.

The blaze started on a back porch on Collins Street. Lynn Fire confirmed on Twitter that the fire extended to a building at 7 Wayne Avenue.

The department also said that Red Cross had been asked to help six adults who live in the house.

All of the residents have been accounted for.

"It's a little bit windy today, we had a very heavy amount of fire," said Lynn Fire Chief Jack Barry. "We were able to stop the fire in the attic area without it extending to the whole roof."
