Crews Knock Down 2-Alarm Fire

No one was injured in the blaze in Boston's West Roxbury neighborhood.

Officials are blaming an electrical short circuit for a two-alarm fire that took place Thursday night in Boston's West Roxbury neighborhood.

No one was injured in the blaze at 81 Caledonian Avenue. One resident was home, but she got out of the building safely and was evaluated.

Crews responded after 9 p.m.

Both sides of the VFW Parkway were closed while crews worked to knock the fire down.

Boston Fire estimates damage at $300,000.
