Crews Knock Down 3-Alarm Fire

Crews in Boston responded to the scene of an early-morning 3-alarm fire in East Boston Friday morning.

The fire at 201 Marion St. was reported at 2:11 a.m.

The three-story vacant building was checked for squatters, but none were found.

The fire chief estimates the damages to be at $500,000.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
