At Least 5 Hospitalized After Ambulance Rollover Crash

According to Plymouth Fire, the accident happened on Cherry Street and Standish Avenue just before 9:30 a.m.

At least five people were hospitalized following a three-vehicle crash involving an ambulance rollover Monday morning in Plymouth, Massachusetts.

According to Plymouth Fire, the accident happened on Cherry Street and Standish Avenue just before 9:30 a.m.

As the ambulance passed through the lights at Standish and Cherry Streets, it did not come to complete stop and struck its right rear by a car travelling westbound on Cherry Street, causing the ambulance to flip, striking a vehicle traveling southbound on Standish Ave.

At least five ambulances have been called to the scene. Three people were transported to Beth Israel Deaconess in Plymouth and were treated and released. The two medics were transported to South Shore Hospital in Weymouth with non-life-threatening injuries. The Ambulance was cited for failure to stop. There were no patients in the ambulance at the time.
