Crews responded to a small plane crash in East Granby on Wednesday.

Granby Police said around 6:40 p.m. the plane was coming in for a landing at Simsbury Airport and overshot the runway. When the plane tried to take off again, it got stuck in the trees, flipped over and fell out of the tree on Wolcott Road.

The pilot, Ralph Jones and his son, Tucker Jones, refused medical attention on scene.

Police said they are working to get the plane removed.
