Crews Responding to Propane Explosion, Structure Fire

Two people live in the home, but no injuries are reported

An East Hampton home was destroyed when fire broke out this morning and fire officials said there was also a propane tank explosion.

The fire started at the home on Ola Avenue around 10 a.m. and one propane tank exploded, fire officials said.

Another 100-pound tank is being vented.

It's not clear whether the residents were home when the fire started.

Lake Drive is closed at Ola Avenue.

Firefighters from East Hampton had been providing mutual aid in Portland for a fire on Penfield Hill Road when the call came in.
