Crews Revive 63-Year-Old Man After Motorcycle Crash in Rhode Island

Rhode Island State Police say a Connecticut man was revived by emergency medical technicians after being found with no heartbeat following a motorcycle accident over the weekend.

The Providence Journal reports the 63-year-old victim was thrown from his bike around 12:30 p.m. Saturday after taking the ramp to state Route 295 in Cranston.

Cpl. Michael Brock says the victim was ejected after he either inadvertently braked or "a tire seized up." Police haven't identified the Plainfield, Connecticut, man.

Two EMTs traveling along the other side of the road saw the crash and came to the man's aid. An intensive care nurse and emergency room doctor also assisted.

Brock says the doctor supervised the chest compressions and mouth to mouth resuscitation performed to revive the man.
